Time Management in MDCAT
While sitting in the examination center there is a big burden on our heads, time is running out. This is the line that constantly reverberates in our minds and successfully disturbs our focus from the test. This is a big issue that almost happens to every candidate sitting in the entrance examination first let us discuss why the above mentioned situation happens, then we will discuss how to avoid it that is, how to manage time.
Mismanagement Reasons:
Mismanagement can happen because of a lot of reasons. However the major reasons are as follows:
• Majority of students start with the most difficult portion (The portion they think to be difficult; It can vary for each individual), obviously difficulties of the difficult portion will take their generous portion of the limited time. After that time is gone, most of the students panic. They think that almost all the paper is left and the time to attempt is not even half. This is the tension among which most of the students cannot be here as a result; Their capability to solve the remaining paper is reduced greatly. Due to early miss management of time, their full people attempting strategy collapses.
• Some students spend a lot of time on a single difficult question. They read it again and again, go through the options multiple times, this waste their precious, limited time. It is not necessary that the question which seems difficult in one point is difficult always. They should just skip the question and come back to it again.
Here are some management tips:
• Go First With Easy Portion
• The portion you find the easiest it can be any; Depending on your personal choice saves the most of your time. That is the fact, that you will solve all the questions of the portion very easily and it will be a time saver. After doing that portion, you can be mentally relieved and relaxed that portion is done and still you have so much of time left for stop your insights of brain would become serene and you would be able to do the remaining of your paper with inner peace, no burden and to the maximum of your capabilities.
• Deal the Difficulties Later:
This is a very fundamental strategy anytime management. If you find a question difficult suppose it is a question from physics you should leave it on the spot and go for the next one. Put a big question mark in front of the question number so that you remember that you have left it insert after solving all the paper, obviously new for the mentally relaxed and there is a probability in who would be able to solve that question afterwards without any issue.
• Be Concentrated:
Noticing the dress of examiner, the dress of your fellow candidates and the paintings or drawings on the walls of the exam hall depicts lack of concentration and plays a pivotal role in the wastage of every second of your precious time.
A student should avoid giving time to any such distraction and focus completely on the paper.
